Helen Kornblum, MA Professional Memberships National Association of Professional Organizers National Study Group on Chronic Disorganization |
My approach to each client, residential or business, is flexible and creative. There are many prescribed systems for organizing, but individuals have to identify the strategies that work for them. Through collaboration, my clients and I pinpoint the goals that underlie their desire to get organized. We measure our success as we proceed and make adjustments as needed. Getting and staying organized can be a satisfying process when client and organizer share responsibility for making changes. My organizing instincts have served me well through many stages of my life—student, teacher, mother, community volunteer, publishing director, and now, full-time organizer. I'm a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Queens College, New York and hold a master's degree in English from New York University. I spent 15 years running the publishing division of an education association in Alexandria, Virginia. I gained much of my special training in organizing through my professional memberships in the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) and the National Study Group on Chronic Disorganization (NSGCD). I take continuing education classes in subjects related to Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) through NSGCD. Sincerely,
